About the Division
The Portage la Prairie School Division acknowledges that schools in our division are located on Treaty One land, as well as the traditional territory of the Ojibway, Dakota, Cree and Anishinaabe peoples and the homeland of the Métis nation.
The Portage la Prairie School Division is committed to providing excellent educational programs to help students learn and mature.
The Division believes strongly in the concept of community and promotes the provision of appropriate programs to meet the varied needs of students in regular classrooms from neighbourhood schools.
The Division is approximately 1,500 square kilometers in size, and has about 3,300 students in Kindergarten to Grade 12. The Division also provides teachers and programs to schools on 10 area Hutterite colonies.
