STUDENT VOLUNTEERS FOR SCHOOL AND PUBLIC SERVICE
The Board of Trustees supports the use of a student volunteer in the classroom, provided that the conditions of Manitoba Regulation 23/2000, which specifies who may be in charge of students, are met. Volunteer work and public service is deemed by the Board to be beneficial to a student’s civic development, but should not be to such an extent that it is detrimental to the student’s school work.
