DISPOSAL OF SCHOOL BUSES

The Portage la Prairie School Division will dispose of school buses that are declared surplus as follows:

School Buses with an estimated value of less than $1,500.00

Authority is granted to Senior Administration to accept offers for these vehicles. The Division may publicize by means of an advertisement in local papers and a circular to other School Divisions.

School Buses with an estimated value over $1,500.00

School Divisions in Manitoba will be given first opportunity to tender. All Divisions will be contacted indicating the details of the tender. If no tender is received from School Divisions, or if tenders received are not acceptable, a public sealed tender process will be initiated. The Division will reserve the right to not accept any tender.

All school buses will be sold "As Is" and all motor vehicle safety inspections are the purchaser’s responsibility.

Proceeds of sale of school buses will be credited to general revenues.
