1. The bus driver shall be in charge of his vehicle at all times. 2. The supervising teacher(s) shall be in charge of the students at all times. 3. In the event of there being two teacher supervisors on a bus, one teacher shall occupy a centre seat and the other teacher shall occupy a rear seat. 4. Passenger lists for each bus shall be prepared in duplicate for all field trips outside of the boundaries of the Portage la Prairie School Division. One copy shall remain in the office of the school principal, one copy shall be for the driver. 5. In the event of inclement weather or some other extenuating circumstance, the driver may permit, at the request of the supervising teacher, students to eat their lunch on the bus. The driver will provide a suitable plastic disposal bag in which to deposit refuse. 6. Classroom behaviour shall be maintained on the bus at all times. Noise level shall be such as not to interfere with the concentration of the driver. Noise level tolerance may well vary among individuals and also under certain driving conditions. If a driver feels the noise level is excessive he/she will advise the teacher and may stop the bus in a safe spot until the noise level is acceptable to the driver.
