Changing your Email Password

You may change your email password anytime.  In fact it is a good thing to do on a regular basis.  If others know your email password they can send and receive email on your account.

Your password should be any 6-8 characters of your choice.  Choose something that is easy to remember but difficult to guess (not your spouse or children’s names, your address, or your phone number).  Don't use a word contained in English or foreign language dictionaries, place names, and proper nouns.  Don't use passwords of all the same letter. Don't use passwords based on simple keyboard patterns, such as ghjkl;' or qwerty.

To construct a better password use the following guidelines. Remember that the password should be easy to remember.

Use a password with unusual capitalization.

Use a password with nonalphabetic characters, e.g. numbers or punctuation.

Choose a line from a book, poem or song or generate a sentence you will remember. Use the first letter of each word to generate the password. Example: My cat just had 3 kittens = Mcjh3k

Step 1:

Using Internet Explorer go to the following site:
www.plpsd.mb.ca/personal

Now you are ready to check your email. You will be prompted to enter your new password. You can have your email program remember the password by making sure "the remember password" box is checked.
