PUBLIC DELEGATIONS
Individuals or groups wishing to appear before the board shall be required to apply to the secretary-treasurer, preferably in writing, to be placed on the agenda for the forthcoming meeting. The secretary-treasurer may accept delegations up to 4 hours prior to the time the board is set to convene.
A delegation presenting itself without prior notice may be heard subject to a majority vote of the board.
Delegations shall be heard only and limited to a fifteen-minute presentation. A reminder of the time remaining shall be given to the presenter by the chair. Questions may be addressed to the chair for purposes of clarification. There shall be no opinions stated, no debate and no question until after the delegation has been excused.
A delegation shall be advised by letter addressed to its spokesperson, of the board's decision on the matter or matters raised, except that the chairman may, where it is considered in the best interests of all concerned to do so, delegate a trustee or an officer to contact the spokesperson personally.
