Orange Shirt Day

On September 30, LVS staff and students are encouraged to wear orange to honour the survivors of residential schools. As our school division AAA coordinator states, "Reconciliation is forming a new relationship between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Canadians. And it starts with our daily interactions and how we treat each other. Learning about each other and respecting each other... We learn about Residential Schools to help heal the past to ensure a better future."
