From the Gym:
All of our LVS students are working on their running and pacing skills in class and we will be moving forward with a galloping, skipping and hopping on one foot in K-4 and moving to volleyball and ultimate Frisbee in grade 5-8.
The September Fitness Challenge calendars can be brought back to either Mr. Nelissen or Ms. Brown. We are excited to see who was up for the challenge to move a bit more and start our year off on the right foot!
In extracurricular action we would like to thank Ms. Ethans, Mr. Giesel, Miss Sutherland, Mr. Dewis, Mr. Taylor and Mr. Nelissen for coaching this year. A league game schedule will be sent home shortly.
Cross-country is in full swing and our running team worked really hard last Wednesday September 26 at our first meet. Each runner ran really well in not so great conditions and Mrs. Roy and Ms. Brown were very proud of everyone. The weather is playing havoc with our location but we will be traveling back to Oakville on Tuesday Oct 1 for the second meet and our third meet will be on Monday Oct 7 with the final run location to be determined shortly.

Grade 2-8 students are expected to change for phys. ed. class and have clean running shoes. Please remind your child to bring back their PE clothes and to change their indoor shoes before heading outside so that we can keep our gym floors as clean as possible.
