The proposed budget (excluding the prom) for grad this year will be $14,000.00. The grad fee of $50.00 (payable by the end of March) will cover costs for cap and gown, diploma folder and class composite, and other miscellaneous expenses. Other sources of revenue will be proceeds from the Grad Tea and Safe Grad as well as support from Board of $2,800.00

Grad pictures by appointment will be taken from February 17-20. We ask that all students have their pictures taken as the picture will be used for both the class composite as well as the school yearbook. For students who are not planning to purchase a grad package, there is no charge by Life Touch to have a picture taken. However, an appointment must be made. The photographers will be out on March 12 to return proofs to students and to meet with parents on March 24.

The Grad Tea – Staff Advisors: Tricia Elliott and Cathy Hoover

The Grad Tea is the only fund-raiser that the grad class will be holding. The last two teas held were very successful and the monies raised was directed to the purchasing of tea supplies for the school, providing financial support for the prom, and helping to defray other grad expenses. This year the Grad Tea will commit $4,000.00 of its profits to the Prom. A parent meeting to plan the grad tea will be held on February 24/09 at 7:30 p.m. in the canteen in the PCI Building.

Prom – Staff Advisors: Mark Diboll, Jim Pehura, Kellee Clifford-Bousquet

A proposal to hold the Prom at Canad Inn (in order to avoid the crowding should the Prom be held again in the PCI gym) will be made to the Grad class in early February. Should the Grad class elect to move the prom’s venue, then a parent meeting will be called in order to meet with the students and staff to determine a budget and set up different committees for the event.

Safe Grad – Staff Advisor: Bob Kriski

Safe Grad will be held at the Centennial Arena on the evening of June 27. An organization meeting is scheduled in the PCI multi for March 9/09 at 7:00 p.m.

The meeting adjourned shortly after 9:00 p.m.
